The number of women undergoing cosmetic dentistry treatments for their weddings has increased dramatically, according to a London-based aesthetic dental expert.
Lead clinician Dr Anoop Maini from the Aqua Dental Spa said the number of female patients opting for cosmetic treatments at the clinic has almost doubled in the run up to summer.
He added that many women have been opting for whitening or veneers to give them the perfect smile and improve their overall appearance for their big day.
He recalled how one patient recently underwent a smile makeover because she had never been happy with the colour of her teeth and wanted to ensure they shined just right for her wedding .
"I am noticing more women coming for smile makeovers' in time for their wedding," commented the clinic founder and board member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).
"It is usually women who may have been considering cosmetic dentistry treatment for some time, and the wedding is the catalyst as many want to be able to smile with confidence on their big day."
"Whitening is still the most popular treatment, but veneers have been a growth area too," he added.
