Dental CashPlan Plus is a dental insurance plan designed to reflect the changes to the NHS dental charging structure. Benefits include:

• 100% reimbursement for all NHS dental appointments and treatments
• Dental insurance covering worldwide injury and emergency dental treatments
• Mouth cancer treatment cover, up to eighteen months following diagnosis (smokers are included)
• Hospital stay cash benefit
• Choice of visiting any NHS or private dentist for injuries or emergencies

Exclusions

• NHS dental treatment undertaken outside of England or Wales
• Mouth cancer diagnosed before or within 90 days after the commencement date of the policy
• Implants, cosmetic treatment, tooth whitening, orthodontics or any treatment not deemed to be clinically necessary, unless as part of a course of NHS dental treatment
• Sporting injuries where a mouthguard or other recommended protection is not worn, unless treated on the NHS

 

The Dental Costguard insurance plan from AXA provides worldwide accident and emergency dental cover, whether privately treated or on the NHS. Policyholders are also entitled to hospital cash benefit if they are admitted under the care of a maxillo-facial surgeon, as well as a contribution to routine dental treatment.
